Everest Ind starts production from Haridwar unit

Building solution provider, Everest Industries Ltd commenced production from its new Rs 120-crore facility near Haridwar in Uttarakhand targeting an overall Rs 1,000 crore sales by 2010.
Sanghi said the company would also increase its production capacity keeping in view the growth of the sector, the Executive Director, Manish Sanghi told reporters here. This is the fifth manufacturing unit of the company producing a wide range of solutions for all residential, commercial and industrial building construction needs, he said.
The Bhagwanpur plant is manufacturing roofing sheets, fibre cement boards, pre engineered steel buildings and smart steel buildings, he said adding, these products are also earthquake-resistant, fire resistant, termite proof and great sound absorbers. The facility, company’s first unit in Northern India spread over an area of 21 acres, has an installed capacity of 50,000 tonnes of fibre cement boards, 40,000 tonnes of steel fabrication products and one lakh tonnes of roofing products per annum.
The company has four other manufacturing facilities at Kymore in Madhya Pradesh, Kolkata in West Bengal, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and Nashik in Maharashtra.
